Towards the Sunlight

This project was created as my Foundation term final project for Think Tank Training Centre. I recreated a piece by Olha Hyshchak. This project was created over 6 weeks and was the longest I have worked on a single still image piece. I love working on hand-painted textures so this project was such a joy to really dive into analyzing the original illustration. I learned a lot about using V-Ray lights and materials in my rendering process, which was all new to me. Included in my post is a timelapse video showing the various steps of look dev throughout my process, iterating and defining the colors and textures. I want to highlight my term supervisor, Jacques Clement, who was extremely helpful in guiding my piece to completion each week. I also want to extend a big thanks to the Think Tank community, who have all been incredibly welcoming and helpful during my first term.
